We contacted Stewart at Edinburgh Micro Diggers as we wanted drainage for our grass at the rear of the house, major water ponding issues! A job which would've taken weeks to dig by hand was carried out in hours saving time and money. The Micro Digger fitted up the side of our house with inches to spare on each side but Stewart made it look easy.

We required to have our rear garden levelled and because of the quality of Stewart’s website and the positive reviews we decided to contact Stewart. The pricing was explained to us and it was clear in the quote how the price would change depending on the amount of skips required. We were not to be disappointed, Stewart and his son were very professional, courteous and did a brilliant job. Stewart made sure the tight access space was well protected as were all the paving slabs. He organised the 2 skips we required and he removed 17 tonnes of soil and levelled the rear garden. This was done in the timescale and price that had been agreed. They cleaned up after them and no damage had been done to the paving slabs. Would I use Stewart again? Absolutely. Would I recommend him to family and friends? Absolutely.

Stewart was prompt in responding and managed to fit us in quickly to level out our garden. Turned up on time and also took a couple of trees out for me. In August I needed a back garden site cleared of 3 trees and up to 20 large rooted shrubs with emphasis on root removal and levelling of the area. Access via side gate was tight and Stewart agreed to visit and if workable to give a quote - he works on a fixed price for the job. I was happy with the quote and timescale - text messages ensured I knew where I stood at all times. Getting the work done by Stewart was a really good experience and, relative to previous experience with others, his personal characteristics, punctuality and reliability was a delight. When he finished he left no mess and everyone was impressed with the results. Stewart has done an amazing job clearing a skips worth of soil from our back garden and levelling the area. He got everything completed (including sorting the skip) in a timely manner and his communication was great. What I really appreciated was that he pointed out potential issues with moving the digger and truck over our slabs and then took additional measures to ensure the slabs remained intact. I'd like to say how pleased I am with the work which Stewart and his son did in my garden. It was a particularly difficult task removing matted bamboos roots along a wall. I would not hesitate in recommending him.

Extremely impressed with Stewart, did a great job in really challenging circumstances. It was a big excavation, foundations, and additional drainage - carried out during a very wet spell and involving sticky/heavy clay. I strongly recommend Edinburgh Micro Diggers. We needed 20 tonnes of rubble removed from our back garden, and the only access point was through a tight doorway at the back of the garage. We hoped that Microdiggers would be perfect for the job, and it turned out they were. Stewart arranged hire of the skips and turned up at 8am with his Diggers. He cleared the entire 20 tonnes, which included a solid concrete wall, in a single day.

With only one short break for lunch, he even had time to clear a few extra bits and pieces and to smarten up the areas he had cleared. The place was virtually spotless when he left. On top of that, his charges were extremely good value for money. I doubt I could have hired the equipment that he used for much less. I was extremely satisfied with the job that he did, and would recommend him to anyone that needs stuff cleared or moved, whether you have tight access or not.
