Restricted Access
Most of our work tends to be in built up areas where the majority of houses are built closely together.
This can often lead to difficulties if you ever need work done in your garden, be it foundations dug, the garden levelled off, retaining walls built or tree roots dug out and removed.
Well, here’s the good news – as long as you have 740mm at your tightest point our micro digger should be able to pass through.
Quite often the only access to the back garden is through a garage itself where a normal sized machine simply could not go due to the lack of height and width. This however is usually not a problem for our micro digger and dumper.
Even when there is no access whatsoever, it still may be possible to do your works, as can be seen in the first image below—that's us going over an 8'3" wall to gain access to a communal garden in Edinburgh City Centre.

Here’s a video of the job we recently finished at Craigentinny, Edinburgh. The customers wanted their large back garden levelled as it was on a slope but the only access to it at all, was through two rooms of the house and then out.
We covered the carpets with plastic sheeting, put thick boarding down to prevent the machines from going through the floor boards, then took the micro digger and dumper carefully through to the back garden.
There were eight extremely tight points to negotiate with the dumper each and every time it went through the house to the skips and back again (around 414 times in total) over the course of six days to load nine skips (about 75 tonnes) to level the whole garden out.
Apart from only scraping the door frame as that was the very tightest point with literally only a few millimetres each side to spare, no damage was done at all inside the house but nevertheless we were quite relieved once it was all finished.
