Since 2005, Edinburgh Micro Diggers have dug literally hundreds of foundations for house extensions, new builds, garages and retaining walls and therefore we have vast experience and knowledge to ensure your works go as smoothly as possible.

Around 60% of our foundations for extensions have been dug out in a single day and occasionally we have even managed to pour the concrete back in too the same day.

We truly believe we can dig your foundations to a high standard as we do so many of them each year and also because we have made a point of trying to invest in the best machinery and proper equipment to deal with any scenario which may arise during your job - saving you both time and money. Edinburgh Micro Diggers can just dig your foundations if you want to organise everything else yourself, or we can do your complete groundworks package up to floor level if you prefer. (You can see how we do this from start to finish in an example on this Foundations Page)

This includes pouring the concrete back in the strip foundations, the blockwork, installing new drainage or extending existing drains if required, backfilling in and around the blockwork with hardcore and compacting, the insulation, and laying the concrete slab or concrete for the solum.

If your spending your hard earned money on such a costly project, (and in many cases, the only time in your life you will do this) - then you really need to make sure that you use professionals who will do it properly first time.

It is also worth bearing in mind that Edinburgh Micro Diggers do this type of work on almost a weekly basis whereas your builder may only dig two or three foundations each year.
